The "Wide-Awake Girls" were very enjoyably entertained Monday evening even-ing by Mrs. Ethel D. Jackson at her home. Lincoln Day will be fittingly celebrated cele-brated in the Opera House Monday evening. An interesting program is being prepared. Tuesday night in connection with .he picture show, a farce, "The De-. j verier," was very successfully given by M. I. A. members. Another play will be given Saturday evening,' "The Tangle." A benefit dance under the auspices aus-pices of the Relief Society, will be iven Friday evening, for Mrs. Caroline Caro-line Llewllyn, who is taking a course in nursing in Salt Lake City, for the Relief Society. i February 4 was the beginning of Scqut Week. The first entertainment i was held in the meeting house Sun-Jay Sun-Jay evening. It consisted of songs ind demonstrations by the Boy Scouts and addresses by capable speakers on things pertaining to Scout problems. A very large crowd l.vas in attendance. Mrs. C. J. Christiansen and Mrs. G. D. Jackson have resigned their offices offi-ces as councilors to President Mary P. Guymon, in the Relief Society of this ward. They have been faithful and energetic workers for many years. Mrs. W. O. Collard and Mrs. - Antone Frandsen, two zealous workers, work-ers, have been chosen to work with , Mrs. Guymon. The latter has been i i very capable president for many years. S.he is still very active in the work. ' |
