Show i8 u8ulG8i8u 1 illifSllif The new Carnegie library just erected in Mount Pleasant near the Pioneer monument will be formerly -opened and dedicated next-Thursday afternoon, February 15, 1917. The building has been under the course of construction during the past five months and was completed about the first of February. Plans are now complete for celebrating cele-brating the occasion and suitable exercises ex-ercises have been arranged for the dedicating of the beautiful building. The library, is an institution established estab-lished in our city which will be for lasting good.. The building is a beautiful structure, struc-ture, very impressive from without and perfectly artistic within. It is built of a very dark red brick and presents a pleasing and attractive appearance. ap-pearance. Ware & Traganza, architects archi-tects of Salt Lake City, designed and made specifications for the building. Bent R. Hansen, August Larsen and John H. Stansfield, all local men were the contractors and builders. A good number of books are on hand and have been placed in the building. The furniture has been installed and everything will be ready for use. The formal opening will afford an opportunity for all the citizens of Mount Pleasant to inspect the build-1 build-1 ing and appreciate the gift presented to this city by the Carnegie corporation. corpora-tion. ! The following program will be given giv-en in the North Ward chapel at 2 o'clock p. m., Thursday, February, 15: Chorus, Public School Children, Margaret Candland conducting. Invocation, Reverend R. B. Norton. Nor-ton. Chorus, North Sanpete High School Choir, Mary Leatham conducting. Remarks, Mayor Daniel Rasmus-sen.- Trombone Duet, Louis A. Petersen and Ernest Staker. I Chorus, Wasatch Academy Glee Club, Edda Mae Gibson, director. Benediction, Bishop H. C. Jacobs. Following the program at the North Ward chapel adjournment will be taken to the Library building where the following brief exercises ! will be conducted: Churns, Wasatch Academy.
