Show WEEKLY HALE HOLIDAY A- committee consisting of three persons was appointed by the Hub club to arrange for a weekly half holiday during the summer months and it is proposed by this committee that Mount Pleasant adopt Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon of each week beginning beginn-ing June 1st. and continuing until September 30th. each year and that the hour of discontinuing business on that day be one o'clock p. m. This matter has been placed before the following organizations of this city and they and each of them have adopted resolutions favoring this plan; Priesthood; Quorums of the L. D. S. Church, the Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Association, tne Relief Societies So-cieties of both wards. The Hub Club, the Twentieth Century Club and the Home Culture Club have also passed such resolutions. resolu-tions. In order that the support of the merchants of the City be assured we the Committee ask that each signer hereby pledge himself or itself to close their place of business on Wednesday of each' week as above designated and set forth. The business men and, prominent promi-nent citizens heartily support this movement. |
