Show TORNADO STRIKES MISSOURI. Three Killed and Twelve Injured When Storm Hits Two Towns, Essex, Mo. Three' persons were killed and twelve injured Tuesday night when a tornado, traveling in a northeast direction, struck Huuterville, a small town three miles east of here. Grayridge, two miles further east, was ' also struck by the storm, but no lives are reported lost there. The storm struck the two towns shortly after 6 o'clock, demolishing many houses and destroying all means of wire communication with other cities in Stoddard county. The dead In Hunterville are Mrs. Edward Miles,, an unidentified man and Charles Blevins, a 3-year-old boy. The number of injured was placed at twelve, with indications that this figure would be added to as the wreckage wreck-age is cleared away. |
