We indorso and pledge support to the Honorable Milton H. Welling, Wel-ling, candidate for the United States Senate, who with Governor Cox stands for a LEAGUE OP NATIONS NA-TIONS , Which means ultimate peace on earth and good will to men, and we heartily indorse the Honorable J. W. Funk lor Congress and also that favorite son of Sanpete San-pete County, the Honorable Daniel 0. Larsen for State Auditor, and all the other candidates for state (officers on the Democratic ticket. We indorse the County Administration Admin-istration for its careful, progressive progres-sive departments, and especially do we commend the splendid system of public highways now milder construction con-struction during the Democratic A'd-mlnlstratlou; A'd-mlnlstratlou; ana we favor a continuation con-tinuation of such a road building 'program, believing that where the money is economically spent we get value received and it is for the universal un-iversal good "of 'the public. We favor the reclamation plan of conserving and reclaiming areas of waste land to be made productive and habitable, subject to entry by returned soldiers and sailors, and pledge the undivided support of the Democratic party to assist in this project. We are proud of the achievements achieve-ments of the Democratic Legislature in placing upon the Statute Books more progressive legislation in one session than was enacted in 20 years of Republican Rule. They redeemed redeem-ed the party's pledges to the people peo-ple of this great soverign state of Utah by enacting a State Wide Prohibition Pro-hibition Law, and also a Memorial . to Congress of the United States in favor of the amendment to the Federal Constitution for Nation Wide Prohibition which has since been adopted by a Democratic- Congress. Con-gress. We call attention to the fact, thai although efforts have been made foi years to secure proper recognition of the services of Black Hawk Indiar War Survivors, and that it was nol until a Democratic Congress was ir power that a law was passed making it possible for these worthy veterans to secure pensions. Wo urge passage of the Constitutional Constitu-tional amendment to be submitted at tho coming election, guaranteeing a minimum of $25.00 per annum of each child of school aige within the state. We congratulate the women of I America on securing the privel-ege privel-ege of voting and exercising the full rfeht of suffrage, and we pledge them our support in securing every other right whicn wiu p)ace them Qn an eciuallty with men in SUch matters mat-ters as family rights, and the nianag-ment nianag-ment and control incident to these rights. We favor equal pay for equal work, regardless of sex. We recognize that the material welfare wel-fare of this County is vitally connected con-nected with agriculture, and we pledge our nominees for the legislature legis-lature to favor and support such measures as will further promote 'this important industry. We favor an adequate appropriation on the part of the Legislature to properly enforce the brand inspection law. We pledge our candidates, if elect ed, to full time service in the discharge dis-charge of their duties, and also favor fav-or such, a selection of County employees em-ployees as will best conserve the public interests. We refer with pride, to the record of the Judiciary of this District of which Sanpete County is a part, and of the fearless and unbiased mind of the Hon; George Christensen, nominee nom-inee for District Judge, and also the record of the Hon. O. K. Clay, nominee nom-inee for District Attorney, and we indorse in-dorse and pledge our undivided support sup-port to these nonimees. On the basis of the foregoing achievements ach-ievements and pledges, the Democratic Democr-atic Party appeals to the voters of Sanpete County for support.
