Show YOUNG MAN IS KILLED AT GUNNISON SUGAR PLANT Leo Larsen, 25 years of age, is dead as the result of an accident at the Gunnison Valley Sugar company's factory early last Sunday mornimg. Mr. Larsen was trying to replace a "belt that had run off a pulley and in some manner was caught by the foot and carried to the shafting a-j bove. The left leg was mangled and severed below the knee. Mr. Larson Lar-son also suffered internal injuries. When rescued by fellow workmen he was still conscious and begged those around him to end his misery by shooting him. ' Mr. Larson was hurried to Salina hospital, but died shortly after arrival ar-rival there. He waB mnmarrled and was born at Mount Pleasant. The accident is the first to occur at the Gunnison factory, and, according ac-cording to witnesses, was unavoidable.. unavoid-able.. The body was brought to Mount Pleasant Thursday for burial. The funeral services were held under the direction of Bishop A. B. Mcintosh, at the South ward chapel. The choir was present and furnished appropriate ap-propriate music.
