Show MORONI Prof. Hall of Salt Lake was in Moroni on Friday. George Casto of Sallna was In Moroni Mo-roni on Sunday. Miss Elva Faux was a Manti visitor visit-or on Sunday. Ferry Faux was a home missionary to Mount Pleasant on Sunday. Ross Mullen of Salt Lake is visiting visit-ing this week with relatives here. Mayor D. O. Larsen has just recently re-cently puchased a new Ford car. Supt. Jas. W. Anderson of Mount Pleasant was a Moroni visitor the latter part of the week. Dan Anderson and Franklin Hanson Han-son of Moroni were home missionaries missionar-ies at Foiunt'ain Green on Sunday. Mayor and Mrs. D. O. Larson were guests of Mrs. Belle McAllister of Manti on Sunday. Miss Lucile Draper returned home from Ruth, Nevada where she has been for the past year. C. N. Lund of Mount Pleasant was a Moroni visitor the latter part of the week. Miss Romainia Anderson has returned re-turned home from the Salt Lake hospital hos-pital where she has been for the past month. A large crowd eujoyed the entertainment enter-tainment Sunday evening given under un-der the auspices of the Moroni Religion Re-ligion classes. Tuesday evening Mrs. Ray Black-ham Black-ham entertained a number of friends at her home. Luncheon and cards were the features of the evening. The Home Economics Association held a meeting in the high school assembly hall on Wednesday evening. even-ing. The following program was given. giv-en. Table service and Etiznette in the Home was given by Mrs. Agnes Gee. A reading by kuss inez Madsen. Home Furnishing and Decoration by Miss Myrle Snyder. Vocal solo by Miss Edna Hardy. Mrs. B. E. Jamison was hostess at an informal card party Saturday evening. ev-ening. The following were present: Birdie Conley, Myrle Snyder, Alice Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. Lorln Anderson, An-derson, Mr. and Mrs. Owen F. Beal, Ferry Faux, Nathat, Faux, Will Taylor Tay-lor and Mr. and Mrs. Jamison. Five hundred was played and honors awarded to Alice Morrison and Lorln Anderson. Music and refreshments finished the evening. The ward choir save a thanksgiving thanks-giving concert in the tabernacle on Tuesday evening, which was certainly certain-ly one of the best ever given by that organization. The following program was given: Utah We Love Thee: Choir. Duet: Leona Irons and Van Black-ham. Black-ham. Piano Solo: Evertt Larsen. Quartet: Hazel Faux, Sadie Bradley, Brad-ley, Cora Simpson and Kate Bradley. Vocal Solo: Clara Larsen. Violin Duet: Mozel Hanson and Darriel Christensen. Reading: Miss Birdie Conley. Quintette, "The Rosary:" Miss Edna Ed-na Hardy, D. O. Larsen, James Fech-ser, Fech-ser, Ferry Faux and Louis !ackham. An interesting feature of the evening ev-ening was the drawing of a lucky number for a Thanksgiving turkey, which was won by Miss Minerva Anderson. An-derson. The girls of the choir served serv-ed home made pop corn balls. A large crowd was present and :he proceeds from the concert will be used to buy new books for the choir. HIGH SCHOOL XOTES The Sophomores are feeling jub-ilent jub-ilent over the class scries in basket ball. They entered the series of games with a determination to win and they were successful in carrying off the honors. The devotional period on Friday was turned over to the students, and ;i splendid program was given. Professor Mosiah Hall, high school inspector: Pres. C. N. Lund nf the hoard of education and Supt. Jas. W. Anderson visited (he Moroni high school last week. They were glad to learn of the large enrollment of sin-dents sin-dents and they were exceptionally well pleased with the work being done and th condition of the high school In general. Mayor D. O. Larsen gave an inter- esting talk in the de ot ional exercises exer-cises on Wednesday. He explained tile history and functions of banks and the great work performed by banks in effecting exchnncre. Mips1 Conley gave a number of short readings appropriate for Thanksgiving and the orchestra gave a bcauptiful selection. |
