Dear Patron and Friend: j p' We have now been conducting business in this city for the j past 21 years, during which time we have given credit liber- M ally to the patrons of our institution. But we feel that the time has come when a change is necessary in the method of 8 conducting our business. Competition is keener, and as a es result we find it is necessary for us to do business on a cash ; basis. j te I We know business must be conducted on a "small profit land quick return" basis in order to keep pace with these ex' I conditions and to buy from the largest institutions in the best : I markets. II A business institution doing a credit business is not in a ig position to meet the competition of one doing a cash busi- 1 ness. Therefore it becomes necessary for us to discontinue Mo a giving credit and conduct our business on a cash basis here- I M after. VH We appreciate your trade and want you to feel in this move it will prove to our mutual benefit and that you will want to make our market your place for groceries and meats as it wir will be our pleasure to serve you. spe Trusting the new year will be one of peace and plenty to ba all, we are, . It's 1 Yours very sincerely, ' corr j Erickson Meat & Grocery Co. |
