Mrs. DeLos Olsen of Ferron is here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Osborne. Mr. Jas. Clawson. Herman Her-mansen Her-mansen and Jesse Billington went to Salt Lake Tuesday. Born to the wife of Arthur Johnson, John-son, Tuesday morning, a 10 pound baby girl. All concerned are reported report-ed to be getting along nicely. Lyman Christensen arrived home Monday. Mr. Christensen has been working at Garfield and Bingham for some time. Wm. Williams of Wales who has been working at Garfield for some time arrived home the latter of the week. Maybert Strate has purchased a new threshing machine in the east and expects it to arrive here in time to have it in the parade on the 24th. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Smith came down from Salt Lake Monday in their automobile to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Osborne. A. L. Larson went to Malad, Idaho Friday to visit with relatives. Mr. Larson will spend a short time attending at-tending to business in Salt Lake on his return trip. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Smith of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs.- W. E. Osborne and Wm. Osborne went to fish Lake Friday, returning Sunaay evening. They report having had a very enjoyable en-joyable trip. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Schofield, Mr, and Mrs. John Schofield left Wednesday morning in an automobile automo-bile for Salt Lake City to attend the Carnival of the Wards of the Wizard of the Wasatch. Mr. Barney Hyde departed Wed nesday morning with the National Guard of Utah, for Salt Lake and Brigham City where they go for a ten days encampment. Mr. Hyde belongs be-longs to the Ephraiiu BWiupaiij. Mrs. J. M. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Beck and family of Rupert, Idaho, made a trip to Provo and return in Mr. Johnson's automobile automo-bile Sunday, arriving home about midnight. Wm, and David Sorensen spent a short time at home this week on account ac-count of the illnes of their father, Peter Sorensen. Mr. Sorensen is reported re-ported much better and the boys have returned to their work at Wasatch. The Bee-Hive girls were entertained enter-tained at the home of Miss Libbie Acord Thursday evening after the regular routine of work. The girls were entertained with music, singing and games, in the mean time refreshments re-freshments being served. ' Niels Dahl and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Crawforth, MrB. Dan Clark, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Johnson and family and Mr Andrew Madsen went to Salt Lake Wednesday morning in automobiles automo-biles to attend the Wizard of the Wa satch Carnival. Mr. and Mrs. Hipkins of Ottawa, Ohio and daughter, Margaret, who has been in charge of the Methodist Mission arrived here from California Tuesday where they have been viewing view-ing the Expositions at San Diego and San Francisco. v Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Strate and daughter, Mrs. W. J. Baxter made a trip to Salina the latter part of the week in Mr. Strate's automobile. Mr. Strate reports the crop conditions in that section as being very encouraging. encourag-ing. The new Lyceum Theatre and dance hall will be opened for business busi-ness July 24th. A first class ice cream parlor and confectionery will be run In connection with it by Mr. Baxter. The new Mirroride screen will be a feature much appreciated by picture show goers. There is only oi.e place in Utah that will have a better celebration on the 24th of July than Spring City, and if you can not find time to go to Salt Lake come to Spring City. You will be welcome and we will be glad to have you. There will be something doing all day and evening for both old and young. |
