Mrs. Emma Bennett of Trovo was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Ilolniau during the celebration. Mr. and Mrs. James Holman and Mrs. Walker of Pleasant Grove are visiting relatives and friends here. Martha Robertson who has been ill for a couple of weeks is able to be around again. Lafc Johnson and family came out from Provo in their new car and spent the 4th with relatives and friends at Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Abe Livingston and Miss Gardner have returned from St. George where Mrs. Livingston has been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gardner. Sister Carter, who has been suffering suf-fering for several months with dropsy and other complications, is in a very critical conditiou. It was thought she was improving, but later reports are to the contrary. There has been some misgiving among the dry farmers as to the effect ef-fect of the hot, dry weather on ttie-graiu, ttie-graiu, but latest reports are that the grain is doing nicely. Some of it is beginning to ripen and good crops are assured. Mrs. Geo. Greeti acted as Goddess with Sarah Allred and Diana Hansen as Truth and Justice. Ethel Draper as Utah, John Snow as Uncle Sam, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Soreuseu as George and Martha Washington. Sanpete was represented by a coupi.' of clowns with a carrot as an emblem. A base ball game was played with Wales. Score 11-17 in favor of Wales. A game of basket hall between be-tween fat and lean furnished considerable consid-erable amusement. Races and con tests finished the amusements, and the day was closed with a dance at the pavilion. Miss White of the Agricultural College Col-lege visited the Home Economics Association As-sociation and gave a splendid talk Tuesday evening, at the L. D. S. meeting house. . Wednesday morning she gave a demonstration on cooking meat substitutes at the home of Mrs. W. P. Allred. Both meetings were well attended and the members were well paid for the time spent. The celebration of the Nation's liirthday was one of the most successful suc-cessful ever held at Fountain Green. The weather was line and the committees com-mittees had everything so well arranged ar-ranged that, there was not a single drawback during the entire day.
