Show MORONI ' Miss Conley entertained the S. O. D. H. Club last Wednesday evening. Mr. Beal is back to school this week. He was called away last week because of his sister's death. Otto Christensen returned home last week. He has been at Lehi working at -the Sugar factory. Miss Connie Nelson entertained last Monday evening in honor of Miss Elva Snyder of Provo. Mr. Natie Faux was surprised last Tuesday evening by a number of young people mostly members of the S. O. D. H. Club. Master Spencer and Wallace Christensen Chris-tensen returned home from Salt Lake City last Thursday where ifiey attended at-tended their grandfather's funeral. A number of Moroni Hunters just returned Monday. They had been on a "hike" down south. They had an enjoyable trip. The Moroni High School Basketball Basket-ball team is very good this year. Although Al-though they have been defeated once they are not giving up, but are going to win all the other games they are scheduled to play, they say. The Home Dramatic Club were going go-ing to present the "Noble Outcast" Thursday evening but because of Miss Melba Blackham's sprained leg they were compelled to postpone the date. Senator Orlando 3radley left Sunday, Sun-day, January 10th, for Salt Lake City where he will remain until March, attending to his official duties in the Legislature which is now In session. The people of Moroni wish him great success in his work. The M. H. S. H. E. C. met Tuesday evening at 4 o'clock, a delightful time was enjoyed and the members received "iiew light on the work. They intend to give an illustration of some of the things they are studying in the near future. Watch closely and you will see and hear about it. Coasting has been a winter sport among the school children and people of the town until this last week when two serious accidents happened. Miss Madeline Olsen broke her collar bone Sunday while out or the coasting I hill and Saturday evening Melba Blackham sprained her leg very badly. bad-ly. Since these accidents coasting has been prohibited. |
