Show The Week's Doings. Mr. and Mrs. (J. H. Denhalter re-I re-I turned home the first of the week from Provo and Salt Lake where j they have been visit.ng with relatives rela-tives for the past two weeks. Jack V. Broadhurst celebrated his ninth birthday last Wednesday by having a party of young folks at his home, Those invited were: Harold Wall, FranK Clemensen, Theorn Jorgensen, Erin Renberg, Vera Jordan, Helen Jorgensen, Thehna Beauman, Ruth Wall, and Doyle Madsen, his teacher, Miss Smith was also invited. Miss Lucie Lovell went! to Greenwich Green-wich Piute County last Thursday to teach school. Buy the Wilson Heater at the Sanpete. James V. Larsen was hurt at the cars Tuesday afternoon while helping help-ing to unload the new pelton water wheel which arrived for the new power plant. Mr. Larscn iwas struck by a piece of timber that was thrown into the air by the weight of the wheel as it was moved out of the car. The timber struck Larsen in the face and cut a gash over the eye and also a bad cut on the lip. The Senior Class of the North Sanpete High School is making preparations pre-parations to give a Grand Halloween Ball at Armory Hall, Oct. 31st the Eve of All Saints. Wilford Larsen returned home last Tuesday from Salt Lake City, where he has been employed by the D. & R. G. Rai'road Company. A series of meetings have been conducted this weeK at the Presbyterian Presby-terian Church at which a large number of people from other towns have attended. All the pretty school teachers of Sanpete county will dance at the-Armory the-Armory tonight. The Piano contest at the Progress Mercantile Co. is most interesting. The young ladies are working hard to get the piano. Watch your number and get the votes. |
