Show MORONI Mr. E. D. Anderson is spending the week in Salt Lake. i Mr. Harry Russel of Salt Lake City iwas in town on Monday. Mr. A. J. Reese of Wales was a Moroni visitor on Sunday. Mrs. Andrew Bradley is in Salt Lake. She is visiting at the home of Frank Bradley. Supt. J. W. Anderson of Mount pleasant visited the Moroni high ischool on Friday. Miss Clara Stark has returned home from a short visit to Lehi. She has been staying at the home of Mrs. iPeter Sorensen. In the tabernacle on Sunday Mr. uTaux spoke to a large gathering of saints. He is one of the energetic (young men of the ward and .the people peo-ple are glad of his safe return home. Mr. Ferry Fa'iix returned to his 'home on Friday after spending twenty-eight months in England. Re ha? (been laboring in the liinningham iind Worchester conferences of the Mormon church. , The funeral services for John Jol-)ley, Jol-)ley, who died on Monday, October 4, (were held Thursday afternoon in the tabernacle. Bishop Orlando Bradley officiated. Addresses were made by Joseph L. Jolley, Daniel Anderson, Orlando Bradley and Dan Lamb. Miss Edna Hardy had charge of the singing. HIGH SCHOOL NOTES The student body held their first regular devotional exercises last Fri day. An excellent program was given giv-en consisting of a string quartette by William Taylor, Dairrel Christensen, Merril Faux and Mozel Hansen. Songs were given by Ella Nelson, Francell Larsen and Misses Virginia Hardy, Lillian Olsen and Elsie Kellet. Miss Lila Curtis accompanied the lingers on the piano. Readings were given by Inez Madsen and Stella Thomas. The constitution adopted by .the student Doay was rrau uy iium. :Faux. The graduating class of 1918, now Sophomore, students in the high .school have presented the school with a set of Shakespeare's works. The books have been placed on the reading read-ing stand for the benefit of the students. stu-dents. Much interest has been manifest man-ifest by the students in examining the books, and all ready they have been of value to them in their English Eng-lish work. Principal Owen F. Beal, in behalf ot the faculty and the School Board, .thanked the students for their enn-Iribut enn-Iribut ion to the school library. Last year the students with the consent and hearty support of the faculty started the movement to collect col-lect books for a school library. The students, members of the faculty aim citizens of the town were loyally respondent, so that by the end of the school year nearly one hundred volumes vol-umes had been collected. This year the student body officers and the school librarian will undoubtedly carry car-ry on this splendid work of building up a school library. Miss Conley gave a very inn-resting talk before the student body on Wed nesday morning.
