The mempers of the Home Cul-ture Cul-ture club surprised Mrs. W. C. Hunter Hun-ter Tuesday afternoon. A nice program, pro-gram, consisting of music and songs was rendered and a delightful luch-eon luch-eon served. Mrs. Hunter has been ill for some time and still unable to leave her room. j Capt. and Mrs. Thos. Braby entertained enter-tained the commissioned and noncommissioned non-commissioned officers of Company D. N. G. U. at their home last Thursday Thurs-day evening in honor of Lieut. Pear- J son. Eiwin Strong, supported Dy a strong cast, presented "The Cry baby" ba-by" at the Opera House Monday evening, ev-ening, and it goes without saying that it was one of the best plays presented pre-sented in tnis city for some time. The play is not what would be termed term-ed either a comedy or a drama, but is intermingled with enough of each to make it intensely interesting from start to finish. Generally speaking, theatre-goers who witnessed the p;iformanc3 were well pleased, and should the company return again they will undoubtedly play to a packed pack-ed hous.1.
