Show .- T, , j! Fairview A street meeting under the auspices of the M. I. A. was held Sunday evening in front of the Eclipse pavilion. A. U. Miner and j and H. S. Olsen were the speakers. ; A piano solo by Rowena Day and a song by Mr. Leo Madsen were also enjoyed by the large audience. The Ladies Literary Club met at the home of Mrs. James P. Larson August 8th. The lesson was given by ! Mrs. Jessie Turpin and discussed by members. Mrs. A. U. Miner read "Three Evils of the American Home' A number of visitors were present. Dainty refreshments were served. J The Dor Oze club was entertained j August 6th by Miss Vera DeFries and August 13th by Miss Flossie 'Anderson. Very pleasant afternoons I were spent and light refreshments served. ; The D'Arc girls met last Wednesday Wednes-day at the home of Edna Chlot Miner. A large number were present and a pleasant evening was srent and light refreshments served. Mis. S. P. Melgaard entertained a few friends Friday afternoon. A) dainty luncheon was served after which the time was spent in social cnac and in admiring the beautiful hand work done by the hostess. Born to the wife of Bert Tucker August 9th, twin boys. This is Quite a remarkable thing as Mr. Tucker was made the happy recipient of twins just t wo years ago this month; they were a boy and a girl. Born to the wi fe of George Mills August l1 th, a boy.
