Show Farmers' Round -Up All Next Week All is now in readiness for the Farmers' Round-up and Housekeepers' Housekeep-ers' Convention t6 be held in this city from Monday until Saturday, December Decem-ber 13 th to 18 th next week. Com-m'ittees Com-m'ittees having charge of the preparations prepar-ations have been working conscien-, conscien-, tiously and report everything going as nicely as posible and say things point to an unqualified success of l the entire affair. The advertising committee has been especially active and much credit cred-it is due to them, especially their chairman who has been working untiringly. un-tiringly. Wednesday this committee com-mittee had every available automobile automo-bile in the town, fifteen or more of them, take the high school band, boosters of the Round-Up and themselves them-selves to all the neighboring towns where they advertised thoroughly by means of band music, "spielers," who told all about the Round-Up in exuberant terms to all about the towns as the party passed through, and by mains of printed matter thoroughly distributed. The Pyramid is of the opinion that this year's Round-Up will be one to be remembered for some time to come as a result of the work being be-ing done and urges the people of this section to attend by all means. It is sure to be of great value to you both intellectually and financial-1v financial-1v and deservim? of vonr natronac:e and support. In addition to the program printed in last week's issue we now learn that a special feature Monday will be a pulling match between the best teams in the county, the winners to receive a prize of $10.00. Much interest is all ready being shown in this event as there are several good pulling teams in this section whose owners and their friends c27:"t praise quite too highly. When s. ,e of these are matched up it will b.i worth seeing. Besides this, on Friday Fri-day evening a big Round-Up dance will be given, music to be furnished by the high school orchestra. This will no doubt be a. hiz affair in it- Self. And on Saturday night the Round-Up banquet will be given. The first session will be held at the High School building Monday at one o'clock p. m. The evening session ses-sion will be held at the same place. Other sessions will be held at the North Ward Chapel. The Domestic Science department of the high school wishes us to announce an-nounce iu connection with this article ar-ticle that they intend serving luncheon lunch-eon each day for the convenience or those attending the Round-Up. A small charge will : be made, just enough to pay the expense. |
