Show LITTLE GIRL MEETS DEATH BY DROWNING One of the saddest deaths of a long time was that of little Pearl Virginia Barton, the two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Barton of this city, who was drowned in Pleasant Creek about a block west of the D. & R. G. tracks Thursday. The little one had been playing about home but was missed about three o'clock; Mrs-. Bartou had just begun hunting for the child when it was brought to her dead by Wilford Hafen. Mr. Hafen had been coming up the sidewalk from his home and noticed a part of the child's dress in the water of the creek, he investigated inves-tigated and was horror-stricken at finding a drowned child. It is thought that the little girl was attracted by sofhe other children chil-dren playing across the creek and attempted at-tempted to cross the creek upon a narrow board which has been used as a bridge, and, as she was crossing, lost iher balande falling into the water. None of the children iw the child cross the board or fa) Funeral services will be . Sunday Sun-day afternoon' at 2:30 at the North Ward meeting house.
