Show City Fathers Hold Early Session Trie advisability of having a n i g h t police or night watchman to patrol the business district, has been advocated advo-cated by the business men of this city for sometime past, the necessity necessi-ty of such an officer was explained to the satisfaction of the city council at a special meeting held Wednesday evening. The matter was deferred until tne next regular meeting of the council in order that they might have time to investigate whether or not the city's income will justify in creating and maintaining another officer. Thejmayor and the council assured the business men that they were heartily in favor of the move, and if found to be within their power, their request would be granted. Businessof minor importance import-ance held the attention of the council coun-cil until 2 o'clock Thursday morning. |
