Show Local Builder Dies at Provo "harles Jacobsen Passes Away at Provo Home Charles Jacobsen, 75, of 144 South Sixth East street, Provo, died Monday night at the family home of causes incident to age. He was born October 27, 1S6S, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, son of Soren and Annie Mena Christen-sen Christen-sen Jacobsen. He received his education in Mt. Pleasant schools and attended Brigham Young academy. On April 13, 1S9S, he married Grace Candland in the Manti L D S temple. Mr. Jacobsen served a mission for the L D S church from 1898 to 1900 in the southern states. He was active in church work all his life and was a high priest at the time of his death. He was a contractor and builder build-er by profession and was a copartner co-partner in the firm of Brand & Jacobsen in Mt. Pleasant for more than 40 years. He made his home in this city until six years ago, when he moved to Provo. Survivors include his widow; one daughter and one son, Mrs. Louise Anderson of Helper and Sergeant Ralph Jacobsen in the U. S. Army at btieppard field, Texas; one brother and three sisters, sis-ters, Clarence Jacobsen and Mrs. Hyrum Madsen of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. George Guiver of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Niels Larsen of Long Beach, California, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted this Friday at 1:30 p. m. in the Provo L D S Seventh ward church, under direction of Wesley P. Lloyd, bishop. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant City cemetery. |
