A large number of his children chil-dren and grandchildren were in attendance at a family dinner. He was also honored bv a visit from the Daughters of the Ft " Pioneers North Bond Camp, Mr. Peterson related to thorn some of his early Pioneer experiences which was very interesting. A program was given bv the Daughters in which Mrs. Kllou Peterson and Mis. Elva Hamilton Hamil-ton sang "Silver Threads Amortr 'he Gold." Mrs. Caroline ' ' "" sen recited "The Vanished Friend" and Mrs. Pore Terry and Mrs. Lois Ann Tanner sang "When They're Gone Do Not Forget Them". ! Light rcfrosmcnts wee served to about twenty guests. First Vice Captain Ellis Vance in charge, presented Mr. Peterson I with a hououet of flowers and a littje token of remembe-anoo. ' His wife. Celestia Tcrv Peter- j son will celebrate- her 871 h birth- I day December 2Slh. Thev feel that thev have been f-oi'lv blessed in remaining together fif) years on December llthrThov have both been active workers in the church and community. They have had ton children born to them, nine of whom are still living. They have scent the greater part ' of their lives in Fairview, except the 10 years he served as hishon in Indian-ola Indian-ola from 1S92 to 1902. Mrs. Merlin II. Madsen attended attend-ed the Daughters of the Ftah Pioneers convention in Salt I Lake citv October 1th. Begin- I ning at 10 a. m. with a rendition of Pioneer songs in seven different dif-ferent languages bv Nora P. Richardson and Mabel J. Isgret), in foreign costumes. The convention con-vention was welcomed bv Mavor Earl J. Glade of Salt Lake ci'v. discussion and report of tho, D. V. P.'s historical monument I mark'ng activity during the I past year was given. followed 1 by a concert of western son"s j by Addison Ritchie. The after- I noon session was highlighted by special native music and dancing by Indian trirls from IHchesno county. Motion pit'-j tures of the Centennial colebra- 1 Hon were also shown. j An evening folkway program featured native dance's and music mu-sic from Mexico. Scotland, Denmark, Den-mark, Switzerland and the Netherlands, all of the countries from which our pioneers came '.'.ore represented by costume., Tho evening was climaxed bv a 1 pioneer quadrille bv Morgan 1 county under the direction of Mrs. Essio Bell.
