Show Wasatch Tigers Blank Ramsr21-0 A good listener could have heard as many reasons as there were spectators at the game for the final score in Wednesday's annual football contest between North Sanpete high school and Wasatch Academy. Most logical explanation for the Tigers' 21 to 0 victory over the Rams is that the best team won best team in the first half, that is. In the scoreless second half, although the Wasatch aggregation aggrega-tion exceeded the North Sanpete Rams in yardage, they lacked the sharp knack for touchdowns which characterized play during the first half. North Sanpet's best chance for a score came in the waning seconds se-conds of the First half when with inches to go and four downs -to go them in, the gun went off signaling the end of the half and their chance for a touchdown. By their victory Wednesday, the Tiger's won permanent possession of the Javcee trophy presented an nually to the team that's victorious victor-ious in the Mt. Pleasant classic. The trophy was presented in behalf be-half of the ML Pleasant junior chamber of commerce by Walhs Rosenlof and Paul Sorensen. It was accepted for the school by Coach Jonn Sours and Tiger Co-captains Co-captains Lea Clark and Jim Gar-be Gar-be r. |
