Show Wasatch Notes By Donna Young For the 8th consecutive year the Wacademy World has been awarded highest. Ail-American honors by the National Scholastic Press Association, University of Minnesota. Frosh wece entertained by the Sophs at a party Oct. 2. Music was iurnisnea Dy Mr. Koger Hansen Han-sen and Mr. Wm. Burton with Mr. R. S. Gunn commandeering Folk games. Tigerette initiation was Sept. 27. Initiates gave skits for the whole school. Later the secret part of the initiation was held behind the closed curtains of the auditorium. A party in the Alice given by old members concluded the evening. even-ing. New members of the I. R. C. were initiated Tuesday evening. They presented three minute speeches for the black robed initiates ini-tiates amid such heckling!! Highlighting High-lighting the evening were the oaths taken by each initiate during dur-ing which they had to kneel and place both hands in a bloody skull. Refreshments were served afterwards. af-terwards. A dance was given for the Sophomores So-phomores by their sister class, the seniors, Monday evening in the gym. Decorations followed the theme of '49er days with wagon wheels, lanterns, logs and hay scattered about. Entertainment and music were provided by Ted Rouillard (on a mule) and his ukelele. the senior trio and Lell Heaps with his guitar, gui-tar, and the school orchestra. |
