Show Mt. Pleasant Brevities . . . Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Anderson Visit Old Friends Here Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Anderson, well known former residents of Mt. Pleasant were visitors here last weekend. The Andersons, who now reside re-side at Upalco, Utah, where they purchased a farm in November, 1916. arrived in Mt. Pleasant last Saturday and returned home Tuesday. While here they stayed stay-ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jensen. Mr. Anderson operated the local lo-cal Texaco service station pric to the time he entered the farming farm-ing business at Upalco. Friends Honor T. M. Christensen Thomas M. Christensen celebrated cele-brated his seventy-sixth birthday birth-day Wednesday with a family dinner at his home. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Christensen. M and Mrs. Auer Christensen, All'e Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Mason Burnside, Mrs. Lynn Petersen of Moroni, Mr. and Mrs. Wp"s Thursby and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Christensen. Mrs. Stena Hansen of Ephraim and Salt Lake city arrived in Mt. Pleasant this week to spend the winter with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorcas Sorensen. Given Novel Greeting Young Jack McAllister has birthday greetings from twelve j of his friends cut in wax to keep 1 as a rememberance of, his ninth i birthday celebration. Jack's birthday party was Saturday Sat-urday afternoon and after a strenuous baseball game, the boys had fun making recordings ' of their own voices while enjoying enjoy-ing delicious refreshments served serv-ed by Mrs. McAllister. Those present were: Larry Beck, Peter Jensen, Jimmie Aver-ett, Aver-ett, Allen Smith, Don Olsen, Dick Staker, Douglas Christopher, Paul Tucker, Jackie Winterbot-tom, Winterbot-tom, Welby Barentsen, and Bobbie Dee Young. Mrs. Wallis Rosenlof returned home Sunday evening after a ten day stay in Manti with her mother, Mrs. Elva Christiansen, who is recovering from injuries resulting from a fall. Nielson Have Guests Miss Florence Nielson of Salt Lake spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Nielson. Miss Nielson is employed em-ployed at the Office of Internal Revenue in Salt Lake. Also guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nielson are their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don E. Nielsen. Niel-sen. Mr. Nielsen is a recruiting officer and is being transferred from St. George to March Field, California. They will leave for California Saturday. Mrs. Lew M. Anderson, daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Nellie Madsen, and small son Peter, formerly of Butte, Montana are staying with her mother prior to moving to Salt Lake city. Mrs. Olivia Wall of Mt. Pleasant and her daughter, Mrs. Boyd Terry and small son Dennis of Fairview returned Sunday evening after a three weeks visit in California with Mrs Wall's daughter and two sons Her daughter, Mrs. Harvey Case of Monrovia, California, returned with them and will remain in Mt. Pleasant for a few week's visit. |
