Show MEMORIAL SUNDAY TO COMMEMORATE VETERAN REBURIAL Mark E. Petersen, well known Utah newspaper man, has been selected se-lected speaker for the statewide memorial service set for Sunday, November 16, at 2:00 p. m., at the state capitol, to commemorate the reburial of Utah's war dead. Final arrangements, announced by Brigadier General Wallace West, Utah's adjutant general, include in-clude addresses by Governor Maw, selections by the famous 400 voice LDS tabernacle choir, and the American Legion Post No. 65 bugle corps. Secretary of State Heber Ben-nion Ben-nion will preside at the Sunday Memorial, which is expected to attract at-tract several thousand within the marble rotunda of the state capitol. capi-tol. This will be Utah's official recognition of her World War II dead. All of Utah's Veterans organizations organ-izations will be represented in the hour-long ceremony. Father Mark Benvegnu will give the invocation. A Gold-Star Mother, escorted by representatives of state women's organizations, will place a wreath in tribute to the state's war dead. Cannon salutes are planned by the Utah National Guard. Bishop Arthur W. Moulton will close the ceremony with a benediction. Taking no chances on bad weather, the entire service will be conducted inside the state capitol building. |
