Show I SPRIKS CITY I By Special Correspondence A number of friends and neighbors neigh-bors pleasantly surprised Mrs. Max Blain at her home here Thursday afternoon. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served and a pleasant pleas-ant time was psent by all. Mrs. Chris Thompson celebrated cele-brated her 79th birthday anniversary anni-versary on July 15th. at her home in Spring City. Born in Denmark she came to Utah and has lived in Spring City for more than 50 years . She is loved by all who know her. Mrs. Marsden Allred was hostess host-ess Friday at her home here to members of the Letitia Fidelia club. . Henry Blain was a Price City business visitor last week. ' William Blain and Robert A-cord A-cord left last week for Salt Lake City. Charles Thompson came home from Bingham to spend a few days of last week with his folks at Spring City. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herman-sen Herman-sen of Parowan called on their mother, Mrs. Mary Jensen at Spring City last week en route to Salt Lake City. They were accompanied ac-companied by their son, Lavar who had been home on furlough from the Navy. Calling on another an-other son, Devon Hermansen at Spanish Fork. They also met one more of their sons, Marlen, who was having a short furlough and expecting to see his folks. The boy in the Service, his parents and grandmother, Mrs. Jensen, who accompanied the Herman-sens Herman-sens spent just one hour together. Mrs. Lester Allred, who underwent under-went an operation for goiter in a Salt Lake hospital, has returned re-turned to her home much improved. im-proved. She was accompanied home by her daughter, Mrs. Dana James, who is now visiting visit-ing here and caring for her mother. Mrs. Elizabeth D. Larsen is ill and at the home of a granddaughter, grand-daughter, Mrs. Floyd Draper at Spring City. Alma Downard and family of Triumph, Idaho is here visiting their many friends and relatives rela-tives at Spring City. Bruce Ellis and family of Pro-vo Pro-vo were week enc: guests at the home of his parents, Bishop and Mrs. James F. Ellis. Mrs. Lorna Jensen entertained the members of the Alethia club at her home here Friday. Mrs. Melba Ericksen assisted the hostess host-ess in serving refreshments. Mrs. Clinton Black was a special guest. Bishop Ernest B. Terry made a visit in Salt Lake City over the week' end. Mrs. Clinton Black has returned re-turned to Salt Lake City after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Angus Black and other relatives in this city. SaaX.
