Show j FAIRVIEW ! By Special Correspondence Mr. and Mrs. Reed Jensen announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Renee Jensen to Mr. Glen Rigby, son of Mrs. Thomas Rigby. They were married mar-ried at the home of the bride j Thursday evening at nine o'clock by Bishop Golden D. Carlston. i A miscellaneous shower was given in honor of the bride Saturday Sat-urday evening at her home by Mrs. Parker Miner and Mrs. Ru-len Ru-len Rasmussen. About 65 guests were present. Enjoyable outdoor out-door games were played. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received and lovely refreshments were served. Some of the out of town guests who came for the shower were: Mrs. Le Grande Guymon, Mrs. Izetta Black, and Helen and Jessie Black of Salt Lake City and Miss Lucillie Dailey and Miss Charline Dailey also of Salt Lake City. Mrs. La-vern La-vern Miner ,Mrs. O. A. Miner of Provo, Utah, Mrs. Ilo Brady and daughter Jean Brady of Castle Gate, Utah, Mrs. Rulen Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, of Monroe, Utah; Mrs. Glen Anderson, Mrs. Kenneth Anderson Ander-son of Spring Canyon, Utah; Mrs. Clyde Jensen of Salt Lake City. A dinner was held at the home of the bride's parents Sunday in honor of the young couple. Thirty-two guests were present. A few of them were: Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Jensen, bait Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Ilo Brady and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Scott and son, Lynn, who was home on a iuriough from the Marines and had been stationed at Cherry Point, North Carolina; Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Miner of Provo, Utah. The young couple will make their home at Provo tor the present time. Mrs. Winona Wright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hilden Tucker left Saturday to visit her husband hus-band in the U. S. Service at Camp Forrest, Tennessee. Mrs. Ella J. Vance was advised through International Red Cross Saturday that her son, Staff Sergeant Ser-geant Ellis H. Vance, 23, who was reported, missing in the Epropean area on June 8, is a prisoner of war in Germany. He was an Army Air Corps gunner. Mrs. Nancy Stewart entertained entertain-ed at a Birthday Dinner at her home July 18th. Fifteen guests were present and enjoyed a very pleasant evening. Many lovely gifts were received by the honored honor-ed lady. Mr. and Mrs. lorn Mower and son were visiting in Fairview last week end with Mr. Mower's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Winston Mower. They are now living in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sutton of Clear Creek, Utah were Fairview visitors last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Ilo Brady and family of Castle Gate, Utah were Fairview visitors last week end. Miss Ruth Fowles of Fairview is visiting this week in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Miner and Miss Colleen Peterson of Provo were visitors last week end at Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Miner of Provo were week end visitors at Fairview last week. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Anderson And-erson of Spring Canyon were visitors of Fairview last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Jensen of Salt Lake City were viitors at Fairview last Saturday and Sunday. Sun-day. Bud Cox of the United States Army was home on a short furlough fur-lough last week. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Cox. Mrs. Laura Vance was taken to the L. D. S. hospital to under go a number of operations last week. Her condition is as good as could be expected. Mrs. Lyle Rigby was taken to a Salt Lake City hospital last week because or a serious illness. ill-ness. Mrs. Ann Vance has been taken tak-en to a Salt Lake City hospital to undergo a serious operation. Mrs. Allie L. Carlston has been taken to the L. D. S. hospital to undergo a number of operations. Her condition is reported improving. im-proving. Mrs. Ettie Dohne Stevens of Salt Lake City has been a vis itor and a guet at the home of Mrs. Carl Nielsen, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Tanner and many other friends and relatives in Fairview the past weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coombs and family from Colorado have returned to Fairview to make their home for the present. They motored to Salt Lake City this week. Mrs. Myron Tanner has been a visitor at Provo the past week. Miss Ludean Tucker and Miss Georgia Shepherd were Salt Lake visitors this week end. The North Ward Deacons went on an outing trip to Park Roshey last Saturday afternoon. Mr. Frank Brady has been taken tak-en to the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake City because of illness. Miss Laree Terry, who has employment em-ployment in Salt Lake City, has been home visiting her parents the past few days. Mr. Vernie Jensen of Fairview made a trip to Castle Dale, Utah Sunday and was accompnied home by his wife and 2 months' old daughter, La Nila, who have i been visiting the past week with I Mrs. Jensen's brother-in-law and ! sister, Mr. and Mrs. Allies R. i Jensen and family. Bernell Aiken 1 also visited there Sunday. |
