Show Sergeant Bartholomew Flies Home on Short Furlough Master Sergeant Calvin H. Bartholomew Bar-tholomew arrived at Salt Lake Monday by plane on a short furlough fur-lough to visit with his wife at Mt. Pleasant and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nay C. Bartholomew at Fayette. He served in the African Afri-can war area during the entire Tunisian campaign. Sergeant Bartholomew is leaving leav-ing Sunday to return to his infantry in-fantry unit and expects to be stationed in Maryland for some time. His wife, the former Miss June Barton of this city, and small son, Calvin H. Jr., whom the Sergeant had not seen until his return from Africa, will accompany ac-company him East. Sergeant Bartholomew, who before entering the service was a seminary teacher, has been with the U. S. infantry since June, 1942. He landed in Africa Nov. 8, 1942, and was in active service during the African campaign. |
