Show "REVISION SET FOR UTAH INSTRUCTION GUIDE A state committee on alcohol education has been appointed by Dr. E. Allen Bateman to revise a teaching guide for Utah public I schools on alcohol, tobacco and J narcotic instruction. The guide originally was prepared in 1939. I The committee was an out- growth of a liaison between educa-j educa-j tors and the state board on alcoholism alco-holism of which Judge Reva Beck Bosone of Salt Lale City is executive execu-tive director. N. Blaine Winters, education committee chairman, said empha-1 empha-1 sis in the new guide will be placed on "alcohol, methods and suggestions sugges-tions on teaching its proper use." First meeting will be held March 20 at 10 a. m. at the capitol. Other members of the committee commit-tee are: Leland E. Anderson, South Sanpete school superintendent; Ralph P. Hill, Davis county high school physiology instructor; Dr. H. L. Marshall, University of Utah medical school; Lee M. Gourley, Ogden Central junior high school physical education instructor; Mrs. lone Bennion Daniel, Utah State Agricultural college dean of women; wom-en; Dr. Bernice Moss, University of Utah associate professor of health; Warren L. Boardall, Nebo school district principal; Arthur E. Peterson, Jordan school superintendent; super-intendent; Vaughn L. Hall, state director of safety and physical education; A. Reed Morrill, state director of secondary education, and Miss Jennie Campbell, state director of elementary education. |
