For farmers in winter wheat areas 'where no spring i.d.ieat is seeded, this means they may convert their excess wheat lor free wheat this fall. Winter wheat seeding usually begin; about September 1 in some parts of the state. To explain this provision of ihe marketing quota program, Mr. Skeen pointed out that a farmer who has a 100-acre wheat alloltment and a 10-bushel normal nor-mal yield per acre and wiho reduces re-duces his 1942 seedings to 80 acres will be entitled to release 200 bushels of excess wheat. In cases wihere seedings equal the acreage allotment but where the actual production falls below the normal yield, the determination determina-tion willl be made at harvest time in 1942 and the amount of excess wheat to be released will depend on how much the actual production is reduced below the normal. |
