Show Civil Service Examinations The Civil Service Commission today announced the following three examinations for w'hich.ap-plications w'hich.ap-plications 'will be rated as soon as practicable after receipt at the Commission's Washington D. C. otice until further notice. -Economist (any specialized branch), witih salaries ranging u-opi $2,600 to $5,600 a year. Appointments Ap-pointments are to be made in various government agencies for important economic research. Applicants Ap-plicants must have had appropriate appropri-ate college study and responsible experience in economic research or college teaching in economics. Junior Veterinarian ($2,000 a year) for employment in the Bureau Bu-reau of Animal Industry, Department Depart-ment of Agriculture. Completion Comple-tion of a full course of study in a recognized veterinary college is required of all applicants. Applications Ap-plications will be accepted from senior students, but such persons cannot enter on duty until completion com-pletion o'f their Course. Student Physiotherapy Aide, $420 a year, less a deduction for subsistence and quarters; and Apprentice Physiotherapy Aide, $1,440 a year. Student aides are to be employed at tlhe Army Medical Med-ical Center, Washington, D. C, and apprentice aides are to be assigned to Army Hospitals throughout the United States and its territories. Apprentices must have completed certain study iw physiotherapy. Students must have had aim appropriate 4-yeaf course in physical education. For employment in St. Elizabeths Eliza-beths Hospital, Washington, D. C, the Commission has announced announc-ed examinations for Junior Medical Med-ical Officer (Rotating Interne-ship) Interne-ship) and Junior Medical Officer (Psychiatric .Resident), each position po-sition paying $2,000 a year. Applicants Ap-plicants for the rotating interne-ship interne-ship must be fourth-year students stu-dents in a Class A medical school. For psychiatric resident applicants appli-cants must have a medical degree de-gree and must have completed a .year's interneship before they may enter on duty. Applications must be on file in the Commission's Commis-sion's Washington oVfice mot later la-ter than Nove,mber 15, 1941. The Commission also has an-r.'ounced an-r.'ounced an examination for Junior Soil Conservationist, $2,000 a year, in the Soil Conservation Conser-vation Service, Department of Agriculture. Specified college study in agriculture is required for this position,. Applications must be filed at the Commission's Washington office not later than December 31, 1941. Announcement also has been made of an. examination for Pho-togrammetric Pho-togrammetric and Topographic Engineering Aids, the salaries ranging from $1,620 to $2,600. Applicants must have had certain civil engineering experience including in-cluding some photogrammetric or topographic work. Education' may be substituted for part of the general experience. For these examinations applications will be rated as soon as practicable practic-able after receipt until June 30, 1942.
