Show Talent Search Uncovers Lots Of It A large crowd gave enthusiastic enthusi-astic applause to contestants at Wednesday evening's Search for Talent at the South ward recreation rec-reation hall, sponsored by th Mt. Pleasant Jaycee-Ettes. First and second prizes were awarded in the two children's divisions di-visions and first, second and third were awarded in the junior and senior high school division. Actual awards will be made sometime next week when , the winning contestants will appeal op Radio Station KNS. Winner in the first children's division was Judy Louise Jensen who sang a vocal solo. Second place went to Sally Rosenlof for a reading. First prize in the second children's division was awarded to a saxophone trio composed of Bobbie Madsen, Patsy Pat-sy Tuttle and Frank Lee Prit-chett. Prit-chett. Elva Rosenlof won second place with an acrobatic dance. In the high school and' junior i;y'felS'i vision, JoAnn Peterson and Shanna Hafen - louiCVv-v place with a vocal duet. Lloyd Larsen was second with a vocal solo and third place went to a saxophone trio composed of Donald Don-ald Hafen, Tommy Ericksen and Neil Jorgensen. Honnrahlp mpntinn uiac criwon the following: Lynn Madsen and Keith Hafen, dramatic skit; Douglas Christopher, vocal solo; Anna Burnside and Alveretta Draper, vocal duet; Adelyn Er-win, Er-win, tap dance; Dorothy Winkler, with twin accompaniment by Carlyn Olsen and Leone Seely; Ray Peterson, vocal solo. General chairman of the event was Mrs. Louise Johansen. |
