Show Funeral Services for Mr. Allen Rowe, 75, Will Be Held Here Next Monday Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday, March 19, in the North ward chapel, for Mr. Allen Rowe, 75, a pioneer resident of this city, who passed away at his home here shortly before 6 p. m. Tuesday. Bishop H. P. Olsen will be in charge, with the Jacobs Mortuary directing interment rites in the city cemetery. Mr. Rowe's death came after nearly near-ly five years of failing health. The last three years had been spent in bed, following a paralytic stroke. He was born "at Payson, July 12, 1858, the son of C. C. and Mary Napier Na-pier Rowe. The family came to this community in March of 1860. following follow-ing which date Mr. Rowe had lived here, most of his life. He was e farmer and stockraiser. An active member of the L. D. 8. church, he performed a mission in the Western States from April of 1908 to June, 1910. For ten years, from 1912 to 1922, he made his home at Mona, during most of which time he served in the Mona ward bishopric. bishop-ric. Until illness confined him to his home here, he acted as a ward teacher. On February 18, 1877, he was married mar-ried at Mt. Pleasant to Miss Hannah Swasey of Mona, who survives. Also surviving are six of their ten children: child-ren: two daughters, Mrs. John M Burn-ide and Mrs. O. P. Synder-gaard Synder-gaard of Mt. Pleasant; four sons, William, Franklin D. and Rodney I... of Mt. Pleasant, and Sidney L. of Mona; a foster-daughter, Mrs. Claude Kay, of Mona; 30 grandchildren grand-children and one great-grandchild. |
