Show Mr. and Mrs. Armont Willardsen arrived home Sunday from Chicago, where thev attended summer school and visited the World's Fair. Mrs. Willardsen was formerly Miss Dorothy Doro-thy Beck. Mi-. Willardsen is a teacher teach-er at Payson. Mrs. H. Guy Wood and son Wcodrow are in Mt. Pleasant vis iting with friends and relatives. Mr. Wood, who was instructor in commercial subjects at Wasatch aose'emy some ye airs ago, will join hi wife and son in the near future, fo.li wing a visit at his fathers place in Pennsylvania. He is now teaching at South Pateadena high school in California. The baby child of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Holt is reported to be seriously ill. Cecil Palmer of Wasatch academy acade-my is visiting with his patents in Iola, Kansas. Miss Sadie Raw left last week to visit with friends and relatives in Denver. Beth and Helen Lund, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Lund, li-e spending the week in Provo. Mr. Norval Borg of Montebello, California was here this week visiting vis-iting with his brothers, Slim and Red. Mrs. A. V. Borg left last week for California, where she will spend the next month. Slim will drive to the ccast state to join her for the return trip, about the first of Sep-, tember. The contract fcr painting the exterior ex-terior of the North Sanpete high school building has been let to Clark Brothers of Mount Pleasant, whose bid was low. Word was received by Mt. Pleasant Plea-sant friends this week that Dr. Thomas R. Rees of Ironwood, Mich igan, has returned to his home alter taking his little son to Chicago for skin grafting treatment following a serious arm burn sustained some time ago. Mrs. Rees, the former Theo Nelson of Mt. Pleasant, remained re-mained with the son. Dr. Rees too was a former resident here. |
