Show Funeral Service for Waldemar Rasmussen Funeral services for Waldemar Rasmussen were held in the Ward chapel Monday at 2 p. m. Bishop James F. Ellis presided. Music was by the choir, under direction of Ernest Terrjt. The speakers were H. W. Pedersen, Vivian Larsen and John S. Blain. Prayers were offered by F. C. Sorenson and J. F. Hansen. Interment was in the city cemetery. Mr. Rasmussen is survived by his widow and nine children. One son, Alden, preceded him in death. The surviving children are: Mrs. Haleen R. Christiansen of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Magnus Thorne and Jewel Rasmussen of Salt Lake; Angus W., Rose R. Schofield, Marjorie, Delia, Parley, and Lowell Rasmussen of Spring City. One sister, Mrs. Matilda Ma-tilda Frandssn of Spring City, and one brother, Dr. A. F. Rasmuscen cf Minneapolis, also survive. Mr. Rasmussen was born on the Island of Lolland, Denmark, March 8th. 1874, the son of Andreas and Hannah Rasmussen. He came to Spring City in early childhood with ' his parents. On December 5th, 1899 he married Lorine Kristine Soren-sen. Soren-sen. He was a farmer and blacksmith. black-smith. People from out of town who came to pay respect to and sympathy sym-pathy for the family were Mr. and Mrs. James Sorensen of Pocatello. Idaho, Peter Christensen of Bingham Bing-ham and Lauritz Christensen of Centerf ield. Mrs. Rasmussen is at presen. very ill, and was not able to attend the funeral services for her husband hus-band Mr. Rasmussen died Friday at 2 p m., after suffering for some time frm kidney and heart trouble. |
