Show j MORONI i By Special Correspondence The Sorosis club enjoyed a wein-ie wein-ie roast Thursday afternoon of last week with Mrs. Ray Anderson, Mrs. Cleon Anderson, Mrs. Marvin Anderson, And-erson, Mrs. Ernest Blackham, Mrs. Lewis Blackham, Mrs. Russel Bailey, Bail-ey, Mrs. Lloyde Blackham and Mrs. Ellis Draper, as hostesses. The guests were Mesdames N. P. Sorenson, Gene Despain, Morgan Lamb, Mei't Draper, Roy Storey. Thomas Bailey and Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes. Special guests were Mrs. Vergal Blackham and Mrs. Angus Blackham. A very enjoyable afternoon after-noon was had by all present. Mrs. Cleon Anderson and son Jack left Tuesday for a several days visit with relatives in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Alonzo Morley and children, of Provo are visiting relatives in Moroni. Miss Minerva Anderson, Ralph and Andrew Anderson were called to McGill Nevada Sunday to the bedside of their brother John, who is ieriously sick there. Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Kellett and Miss Elsie Kellett left Sunday for a trip to Chicago to the Worlds Fair. Mi', and Mrs. Vergal Blackham of McGill. Nevada and Mr. and Mr?. FeiTin Justesen of Ruth, Nevada are visiting relatives in Moroid. Mrs. Andrew Jensen celebrated her birthday July 31st. All of her children and a number of relatives and neighbors were present. Miss Nedra Barney of Spring City is a guest of Miss Oriole Draper Drap-er this week. Mr. James Fescher and Mrs. Hannah Han-nah C. Blackham returned from a trip to the World's Fair at Chicago. Moroni liar been asked to furnish a program for the Black Hawk encampment en-campment to be held at Richfield this year. The 1847 band is busy getting tuned up for the occasion. Funeral services for Aaron Prest-wich Prest-wich were held in the East ward chapel Sunday afternoon with Bishop Bi-shop Morgan Lamb in charge. The choir sang "O My Father." The opening prayer was offered by Daniel Dan-iel Anderson. Mrs. Elmo Irons and Mrs. Ernest Anaeison sang "Cast Thy Bread Upon The Waters," accompanied ty the Choir. The speakers were Pres. Elmo Irons, Ir-ons, Bisncp Ephraim Nelson and Bishop Lamb of Moroni, Pres. Jos. Christiansen and J. L. 'NieLsen of It. Green. Special numbers were: a vocal solo, "A Perfect Day;" by Earl Syme; duet, "In the Upper Gardens." Gar-dens." -Mrs. P. J. Draper and Mrs. Elmo Irons. Closing prayer was by Ezra Niel-.cn. Niel-.cn. Vernile Jensen dedicated the grave. Aaron Prestwich, 49, passed away at his home Friday at 11:30 a. m. ?.fter a few hours illness of heart trouble.
