Ri ing tides of nationalistic sentiment senti-ment lead maiiuy thougtful observers to cowlude that war, while It may be avoided for awhile, will inevitably involve hat continent. There is little lit-tle idea in this country that the United States will Join in such a conflict, even though it becomes rteccd nry to give up her foreign trade almost entirely. However, we might, just as well face the facts, wh ch include an aggreesive Japan in the Far East, and lay our plans accordingly. |
