Show MORONI 1 By Sperial Correspondence i Funeral services for Mrs. Cynthia Draper were held in the East ward chapel Wednesday afternoon of last week with Bishop Morgan Lamb officiating. The choir sang "Rock of Ages, "I Need Thee Every Ev-ery Hcur." and "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go." Prayers were offered of-fered by Ezra Nielsen and Andrew L. Bradley. The speakeis were, Daniel Anderson, Franklin Hansen Han-sen and Bishop Morgan Lamb. A vocal duet "Eternity" was sung by Mrs Elmo L. Irons and Mrs. P. J. Draper, accompanied by Mrs. Blaine Draper. A vocal solo, "Oh My Father," was sung by Mrs. Marvin Anderson, accompanied by Mrs. Draper. 'Lhe pallbearers were six grandsons of Mrs. Cynthia Draper. Dra-per. The grave was dedicated by Niels Lund of Fountain Green. Mrs. Giige Faux was hostess to the Junior Sorosis 3luo :it h';r heme Thursday evening. A social evening was enjoyed. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to fourteen members and one special guest. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Jensen announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter Bessie to Morris Coombs of Fountain Green. A shower in their honor was given Monday night in the West ward chapel. The young couple received many lovely gifts. Seventy-five guests were present. Miss Ella Bradley entertained at a tea Thursday afternoon in honor of Miss Opal Draper, prior to her departure to Topenish, Washington. Those present were the Misses Euledah Larsen, Ruby Olsen, Idona Larsen, Elaine Draper, Dra-per, Helen Calishaw, Opal Draper and the hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Kellett of Hyrum are visiting relatives and friends in Moroni. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Arncldson and Mr. and Mrs. TJrwin Morley and families attended the Anderson Ander-son Reunion at Park-Ro-She last Tuesday. The Junior Sorosis club members mem-bers and: their husbands spent Saturday and Sunday in Huntington Hunting-ton Canyon and along the Skyline Drive. Mrs. Nora Cok and daughter Margaret, Mrs. Cuningham, and Mr. Lavem Taylor of Clayburn, Texas, visited last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bailey. They are friends of Gayle Bailey, thai he met during his missionary work in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Blackham announce the marriage of then-daughter then-daughter Artie and Newell Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Olson of Fountain Green. Funeral services for Kermit Eliason were held in the West ward chapel Thursday afternoon with Bishop Ephrarmi Nelson in charge. T'he choir sang "Shall We Meet Beyond the River." The opening prayer was given by Jabez Faux. A vocal s-lo, "Lay My Head Ee-neath Ee-neath a Rose," was given by Paul Blackham, accompanied by Miss Mauriel Larson. Heber Christensen Christen-sen was the first speaker. A vocal sclo "Beautiful Isle," was sung by Mis. Lawrence Larsen, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes. John Irons was the next speaker. A v-cal v-cal solo, "Just a Wearyin' For You" was sung by Spencer Covert of Spring City, accompanied by Miss Voneal Anderson. Bishop Nelson was the concluding speaker. The choir sang "Sometime We'll Understand" Un-derstand" with Mrs. Ernest Anderson Ander-son singing the solo part. The benediction was by Harold Christensen. Chris-tensen. Mr. andi Mrs. Niels Johansen held a family reunion Sunday, July 25th at their home. All their children and grandchildren were together for the first time. A total to-tal of twenty-three were present. Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Wilkensen announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Doris Jensen to Mr. Alma Haycock of Nephi. |
