Show ! FAIRVIEW I By Special Correspondence 'me Helping Hand Club met Thursday, July 22nd at two o'clock at the home of Mrs. Esther Bushman. Bush-man. The afternoon was spent in sewing. A reading was given by Mrs. Mae Bills, i Refreshments were served ti nine . ladies. The next meeting will be August 5th at the home of Mrs. Ruth Brady. Tueday evening Mrs. Lester Mad-sen Mad-sen entertained the Bridge Club. Dainty refreshments were served to twelve ladies. Mrs. Erva Draper won first prize and Mrs. Elsie Christensen Christen-sen won second prize. A pleasant sccial was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cox accompanied accomp-anied Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cargili of Os,den on a trip to Portland where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Richards. Mrs. Richards is their daughter and was formerly Miss Leona Cox. Mrs. Ellis D. Coombs spent the last week visiting relatives hi Ogden Og-den and Salt Lake City. Mrs. Martha. Obern of Murray was the guest of Mrs. Mary Larsen Lar-sen the past ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jones of Mc-Gill, Mc-Gill, Nevada, visited relatives at Fairview last week. Miss Thella Larsen came heme with them. Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Swensen of Salt Lake City visited at the home .f Jchn Vance last week. They were returning from California. The Vance Reunion was held in the mountains east of Fairview on the 23rd and 24th. A good time was enjoyed. Mrs. Wilma Bench entertained the Bridge Club Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Luncheon was . served to eleven ladies. On Monday Mrs. Urban Bench entertained a r. umber cf relatives in honor of her son Eddie Earl's birthday birth-day anniversary. A large number of the Anderson family attended the annual Anderson An-derson Reunion at Park Ro-She, Spiring'V'ille. Mrs. Matilda Anderson, Ander-son, 89, and all her children, including in-cluding fcur sets of twins of the younger generation, were present. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Anderson and family of Wyoming, spent Thursday Thurs-day and Friday at Fairview. |
