Show Telling Europe Senator J. T. Robinson cf Arkansas, Ar-kansas, Democratic leader in the United States Senate, recently returned re-turned from a trip to Europe. While over there he says he told the leaders that this coun'rj would not again take part in European Eur-opean wars. He said: "I assured every one of these inquiries that the United States does not understand Europe s complicated problems, and has no patience with the intrigues thro which the various countries seek to gain their ends," he said. "I further assured them that )f there is another war in Europe, the United States will not suppiy men, munitions, or sympathy to any nation, but will try to perfect itself as best it may, and remain at peace with all the world." It is probably a good thing to let Europe know that the United States does not expect to participate partici-pate in European quarrels but in view of the many varied interrelations inter-relations between natiens it is hard to see how any major country coun-try can avoid being involved in any worldwide struggle. |
