Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Pi-oneers held their n:ee ing Friday afternoon. The following Christmas Christ-mas program was enjoyed: Solo Mrs. Clara Jensen. Reading "Biddy's Trials A-mong A-mong the Yankiss," Mrs. Cleyd Jensen. Solo Miss Alice Syme. Reading Mrs Rhea Blackham. Durane ScrensinJ and Sherman Christensen played several numbers num-bers on the violin and accordian. Reading Mrs. Dan O's-en. Stories ci some of the first Cnnstmas celebrations in Moroni were related by Mrs. Ar imes'a Anderson and Mrs. Orlando Bradley. Brad-ley. Several eld time felertions wert given on accordians by Mrs. Ben Cloward and Sherman Chris. en-sen. en-sen. A Christmas story, "The White Flame," was given by Mrs. Malus Sorensen. Refreshments were served and a real Christmas social was enjoyed en-joyed by all praieat. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen Christen-sen announce the birth of a baby boy at their home. The Seminary class from Nephi high school gave the program in both wards Sunday afternoon! in Sacramental meeting. Mr. Whitehead, the Seminary teacher, gave a splendid talk or "Faith," in the East ward in connection con-nection with the very wonderful program given by his students. The students also gave a very interest-ing interest-ing program in the West ward. The Moroni East ward M. I. A. presented two plays in their ward .chapel Wednesday evening of last week. The first play was "Blunders" "Blun-ders" with th3 following cast:Rex Kellet', M'ss lone Christensen, Howard Blackham, Maiben Christensen, Chris-tensen, Miss Francis Blackham, Miss Neva Jensen and Leland Rasmussen. Play number two was "Elmer" with the following cast: Cliff or 1 Gee, Miss Ella Bradley, Miss Ed-dice Ed-dice Blackham, Miss Lula Monson. Miss LaVee Louritzen, Miss Pearl Arnoldson, Miss Francis Cloward, Gene Syme and Lloyd Moss. |
