Show Theme Is Set For School Of Tarm Irrigation "Our 1938 school of irrigation, to ce held under the supervision of the Utah State Agricultuial extension service at the "college from February ! 28 to March -1 will be built around the theme 'To i.rigate economically is to know your farm' ", according j o Dean George D. Clyde of the school of engineering. The school will be conducted under the direction direc-tion of the Extension Seivice and the school of engineering. An opening' address will be given by President Elmer G. Peterson cf the ccllege. and Director William Pete sen of the extension service ! will introduce a discussion on the importance cf irrigation to Utah farmers. Tcpographical and soil su.veys will be discussed by Professor Pro-fessor H. S. Carter of the school of engineering and Dr. D. S. Jennings cf the experiment station staff. Other talks will be given by Elmo Mc gan cf the state engineer's office, of-fice, who will discuss the value and function cf that office; T. H.. Hum-pherys, Hum-pherys, state engineer, who will dis-enr-s water rights; Elden M. Stock, whose topic is "Laying Out the Farm Distribution System", Dean Clyde, who will talk on the disposal dispos-al cf irrigation water; and R. R. P.ynor who will discuss farm water wa-ter supply and sewer systems.
