Show Burton H. Adams Nominated Last Friday for Mayor In a second primary meeting of the Citizens Party, held last Friday, Fri-day, Burton H. Adams, was nominated nom-inated to fill the vacancy on that party oaused by the resignation of Jack Cook. In a letter to the Review and the citizens of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, Mr. Adams accepts the nomation and thanks his many friends for their confidence in him. The letter follows: "I hereby accept the liberty extended ex-tended to me through these columns col-umns to thank those loyal friends and supporters who made possible my nomination to the office of Mayor of Pleasant Grove City a reality. I can truthfully say it is a position I have never had aspirations as-pirations to assume but since the bestowal at a convention I didn't even attend, I now realize, quite forcefully that many, many of our best minds both see and realize that quite possibly a few changes in administrative policy could shake our fair city out of the doldrums. "I am not criticizing any constructive con-structive accomplishments or any member of the Council as it now exists or any opponent for that matter. "The facts are, we are lagging behind other communities in many respects, when we with the1 best location imaginable and the highest high-est tax levy in the County continue con-tinue to drag our feet, as it were.
