Show ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS Last Tuesday, Fourth and Fifth grade students of Grovecrest visited vis-ited the Pleasant Grove DUP Pioneer museum. Mrs. Harold S. Walker and Mrs. Nora Macfar-lane Macfar-lane conducted the tour of inspection in-spection and explained the history his-tory and use of the articles on display. ESN Superintendent Dan W. Peterson Peter-son visited Grovecrest School on Tuesday morning. He called at each classroom in order to observe ob-serve the teaching techniques being be-ing employed and to encourage 1 the individual teachers in thedr ' -work. In an informal report to Principal Prin-cipal Thomas Larsem, Superintendent Superin-tendent Peterson expressed appreciation ap-preciation for the quality of work being- done. ESN On October 22 the school secretaries secre-taries of Alpine District staged a Halloween party at Grovecrest School. Halloween costumes and games along with refreshments were featured. The committee responsible for arrangements for the affair included in-cluded Helen Wadley, Grace Cornaby, Mae Winters, Afton Fryer, Carol Wt" and Mary Varney. , ESN The School-Community Halloween Hallo-ween Festival at Lindon School will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31 commencing at 6 p.m. All of the traditional Halloween Hallo-ween activities have 'been planned plan-ned including picture shows, games, Halloween treats, spook alleys, costume parades and a jack-o-lantern contest. "By holding the festival on the actual evening of Halloween, we hope to be able to limit the celebration of the event in the community to one night," Principal Princi-pal Paul Willes explained. ESN Bulletin boards at Central School are attractive these autumn au-tumn days with decorations worked work-ed out by students and teachers in a harvest motif. |
