Show Record Hops Are Planned by MIA For Coming Year A series of record hops which will be known as Lucky Clover MIA Dances, have been planned by the Timpanogos Stake MIA for the winter season. The dances will take place the second Saturr day of each month, with the exception ex-ception of January. The first dance will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Timpanogos Stake House. In keej1 with the policy established es-tablished Vr the General Authorities Auth-orities of the LDS Church, the dance will be held for young people who are fourteen years of age and older. Boy Scouts and Beehive Girls are advised not to attend late evening dances nor to date at an early age. Special events for these dances will include a boy and a girl serving serv-ing as disk jockies for a brief period during the dance; individuals indiv-iduals or groups of young people from each ward will be given ithe opportunity to pantomime a selection sel-ection in true "Record Hop" fashion. Records will be given to the boy or girl proving to be the best disk jockey. Beginning at 7 :30 and continuing continu-ing until 8:30 prior to each danoe will be special dance instruction. Under the direction of Stake dance directors, Mr. and Mrs. Le-land Le-land Carlson, popular dances will be taught at this time and later in the evening a dance contest will be held featuring the dance taught during the instruction period and a record will be given to the couple performing the best. These dances are sponsored under un-der the direction of the Tinipan-ogos Tinipan-ogos Stake Presidency and will conform to LDS church standards. stand-ards.
