Show 3-Day Convention Completed by Witnesses Sunday The four-stat2 three-day circuit convention of Jehovah's Witnesses Witness-es came to a successful conclusion conclus-ion Sunday, October 25th, at Ogden. Gene Nelson, presiding minister of the American Fork congregation, said that a record attendance of 1,132 delegates from 23 congregations packed the Mount Ogden Junior High Auditorium Sunday afternoon to hear the keynote Bible discourse "When is God's Will to Be Done on Earth?" which was delivered by Matthew M. Kolar, district, supervisoi . "There is a great need for God's will to be done on earth today," stressed Kolar. "The world is in a bad condition because be-cause nations do their own will. A flood of violence fills the earth. There is a general disregard for right principles." Kolar painted a word picture of what the earth would be like when God's will is done that the earth would become a paradise that crimes and war would cease that obedient mankind would become youth and gain the wonderful won-derful privilege of living forever under righteous conditions. Kolar concluded by saying, "Only by gaining knowledge of God's Word and purposes can one be assured of life when God's will is done in all the earth. Then one must be obedient to the divine- will. What does life mean to you? Is it worth your while to seriously study God's Word? You MUST if you want the approval ap-proval of God." Nelson said that the Bible instructions in-structions received would help all the Witnesses to become better bet-ter qualified teachers of the Bible. |
