Show Mothers Study Club Display at Fair Was Unique Exhibit The table display at the Pair by the Mothers Study Club was unique hobbies collected from different countries and places visited. It attracted at-tracted much attention. Crystals from Belgium and Venezuela, silver sil-ver from Italy and England, china from England and bone china from Japan along with trophies and wood carving from Japan and rich embroidered work was all very interesting. in-teresting. Among other items were basket weaving and fine mats, jewelry in beads and bracelets, polished petrified pet-rified wood, showed work done in Mexico; ceramic pieces made in Germany; wood pieces and especially espec-ially the wooden roses from Hawaii Ha-waii interested many. The flushed myrtle wood from Oregon was attractive and polished walnut pieces done in Pleasant Grove added much to the display. Collected in Canada were pottery pot-tery pieces made into small mugs, representing the face of Robin Hood and other characters. Art & needle work was beautifully done, receiving first prizes. The cut work was selected for display at the Utah State Fair. |
