Show Elysium Club Meets Wednesday with Mrs. Ben Whiting Elysum Club met Wednesday Jan. 2 with Mrs. Ecn Whiting at her home on Second South. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Richard Gour-ley. Gour-ley. President Karyl Halladay was in charge. Rrpci t on the Bake Sale held by the club on Dec. 14 was made by Mrs. Lloyd Boren and a report on the club's activities in the sale of Savings Stamps and Bonds at the Central School was made by Mrs. John Gourley, chairman. Business being attended to, guest speaker Glen Marble was introduced. in-troduced. Mr. Marble spoke on "Religion through the Ages" from early days until modern times. Man has always had some sort of God whom they worshiped. Many early ideas, prayar, sacrifices, etc., were in different forms, earned on in times before Christ and have come in modified-farm to the modem generations. The subject was well handled and gave the listeners much information and food for thought. Later refreshments were served to Karyl Halladay, Mary Lou Gardiner, Gar-diner, Vivian Faddis, a new member, mem-ber, Pearl Gourley, Dawna Mae Boren, Janice Gillman, Joyce Crump, JoAnn Gourley, JoA.nn Brady, Madge Peterson, Colleen Han-is, Marilyn Hrienson, Bliss Brimley, Andrea Alger and Geniel Waid. |
