Grua, and will practice prac-tice .medicine in the office upstairs up-stairs in the Thornton Building. Dr. Anderson's family will move here from Spring Canyon, Carbon County, as soon as living quarters quar-ters can be established. -v 24 Years Ago Samuel J. Green, 72, life-long resident of Pleasant' Grove, died at the family home Wednesday after a six-weeks illness, from asthma. as-thma. Surviving are his wife, Maria Holman Green and the following children: John S. Green, Elizabeth Green Millar, Arnold Green, William Wil-liam Green, Lamar Green, Owen Green, Ren Green and! Nellie Green Aston. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 Sunday in the Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos Stake Tabernacle. 24 Years Ago Willard Smith, 37, and his wife Elva Logsdon Smith, residents of Pleasant Grove, "were killed in an automobile-train crash on New Years Eve at the crossing at the head of Church Street in American Ameri-can Fork. Other passengers in the car were Mr. and Mrs. Leland Beers, LeGrande Richins, and George Peterson, all of Pleasant Grove. All of the survivors were severely injured. 24 Years Ago LeGrande JaiTnan was honored with a missionary farewell service ser-vice last Sunday night at the Windsor Ward Chapel. He will leave Thursday for a short term mission to the Southern States. 24 Years Ago Friday night's basketball game pits the Pleasant Grove team against the Lincoln Tigers of Orem in the opening league game of Region Re-gion HI. The locals have not lost a pre-season game and are favored favor-ed to win this one. 24 Years Ago Mr. and Mrs. Millen D. Rad-mall Rad-mall entertained at a dinner and social at their home on the evening even-ing of Dec. 28. Invited guests included in-cluded Messrs and Mesdiames H. W. Jacobs, E. A. Beck, Lewis Ol-pin, Ol-pin, Karl Banks, C. A. Gamett, C. L. Wright, C. O. Jensen, Clarence Hill, H. P. Jones, F. B. Newman, and Harley Simmons. 24 Years Ago Mr. and Mrs. Lyean Johnson returned Saturday from Los Angeles, An-geles, where they were holiday guests of Mrs. Johnson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving West. |
