Show Lindon City Council To Meet Next Monday, Jan. 14 For their first regular meeting of 1957 Dindon City ' Councilmen have selected Monday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the water office. Us- ually held the second Thursday of every month, the meeting time was changed in order that all council-men council-men could be present to discuss among other important items, the proposed budget, billboard ordinances, ordi-nances, and new committee assignments. According to city recorder Elvie Erickson, all Lindon Council members mem-bers were present at the special meeting held recently for the purpose pur-pose of cleaning up old bills and signing 1956 vouchers. Mayor Harold Keetch read a letter received from the Onem City Corporation concerning the amount of $319.30, Lindon's bill from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 1957, for maintaining the dump shared by this city, American Am-erican Fork, Pleasant Grove, and Orem. Lindon pays 4.6 of the total $6,941.17 needed to maintain the commounity clump. Arrangements have been made by Ivan Blain, civil defense councilman, coun-cilman, for an electrical company to rewire the civilian defense siren atop the Lindon Schocl. The siren was recently disconnected when building improvements and additions addi-tions were made to the school. |
