Show Viking Racquet Wielders Win One, Lose One Coach Don Crump's racquet wielders are only fair to middlin' so far this season having won one and lost one to date. In the first round the Vikings defeated American Ameri-can Fork 5 to 1. In Tuesdays encounter en-counter with the Lehi Tioneers the Crumpmen dropped a close one 3 to 2. In league play thus far Lehi and BY High are tied for top spot with a 2 won, 0 lost rating. r.G. is second with a 1 and 1; and American Ameri-can Fork is in the cellar with no wins at all. Yesterday the Vikings and Pioneers Pio-neers met at 3:30 on the local courts; but results were not available avail-able at press time. Coach Crump will take a team to the Snow Junior College Roundup Round-up tournament at Ephraim Saturday. Satur-day. Present indications are that Driggs will play in the singles, while Johnson and Anderson will team up for the tandem affair. Coach Ncdi Alger will also take a full complement of track and field artists for the Sanpete County track and field festival Saturday. |
